We are the retail division of G & R Quality Seafood, Inc. specializing in the ‘QuilBay Quencher’ a Select suspended culture oyster. Quilcenes are already world renowned for their superior flavor, by suspending them in deeper water we think you will agree, this is the perfect cocktail oyster!

The 2" – 3" inch long, plump, pristine QuilBay Quencher oyster eaten raw has a burst of subtle, briny flavor up front, then as it practically melts on your tongue you’ll notice its slightly sweet meat with a crisp, subtle cucumber-like aftertaste. These are beautiful natural set oysters (we like to call them flowers they can be so pretty!) that have been gathered from our beaches, put in trays and set into deep water. This process protects the oysters from predators, deepens the cup (fattening the meat inside the shell) and elevates them from the mud while giving them constant access to their food source. Stress free living improves the already great flavor of the Quilcene oyster, making the QuilBay Quencher a world class, consistently delicious cocktail oyster!

Besides our premium cocktail oyster, we also have acres of the world renown natural set Quilcene beach oysters. These are great on the BBQ, baked or broiled in the oven, steamed, boiled or pan fried. Try them for yourself and you’ll see why we hear “Those were the BEST OYSTERS I’ve ever had!” about twice each day that we do a farmers market, and we do 19-22 markets per week in peak season.

All this talk about oysters, we mustn’t forget to mention how good our steamer clams are! We hear the ‘BEST’ declaration about our clams quite often too. We believe the exceptionally clean water in Quilcene Bay is responsible for the superior flavor of all our bivalves. We deliver them FRESH -straight out of the water to market or to order, and we ALWAYS purge our clams before selling them to ensure they are as sand free as possible for our clam lovers maximum enjoyment.
